As you may remember, last year, I created The Butterfly Project. I would send people a small butterfly to remind them that they are much like the butterfly- they’ve been through a dark place (narcissistic abuse) yet emerged into a beautiful new creation in spite of the pain, like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.
I decided to make some changes to The Butterfly Project. You can see the new website for it here: TheButterflyProject.tripod.com And, you can check out the new facebook page for it here: The Butterfly Project (Please feel free to like the page & share it as well as my site! Thank you!)
To summarize, I decided not only to send people butterflies if requested, but also to make them, pray over the recipients of each one, attach a tag to the butterflies to bring people to the above mentioned website & leave these little critters around town in public places where they can be found easily. My hope is that I won’t be the only one doing so- I’m hoping other people in various areas will do the same. Information on how to participate can be found here: http://thebutterflyproject.tripod.com/want-to-help.html
Please consider joining me in The Butterfly Project. I think it’s a fun way not only to help offer some inspiration & comfort to victims of narcissistic abuse, but also to help raise awareness.

I will give the crochet butterflies a try! I would like to do something similar with angels, but I don’t have a lot up and running yet. Your project is inspiring!
That’s awesome! Thank you! I kinda sorta stole the idea, in all honesty.. The Peyton Heart Project is crocheting or knitting hearts for people who have been affected by suicide. I love it, & thought since there’s no awareness ribbons or much attention for narcissistic abuse, we need something!
If you do something similar with angels, let me know? I’d like to participate.
Seems like I had a small crochet angel pattern somewhere.. unfortunately it may have been on one of my external hard drives that died (*insert long list of bad, bad words here*) I’ll look around though & see if I can find it. Will share it here if I do. Whether you use it or not, it may at least give you a good idea for a basic pattern, yanno? That’s what I did with the butterflies- found a pattern I liked, then created my own, different pattern.
I don’t know what happened to the angel crochet pattern I had, but I found something I think is identical. Here you go! Hope you like it
That is really cute! Thank you! Time to get crafting😄
Isn’t it always time for crafting?! Any time spent with yarn is good.. lol
Would you mind keeping me posted on your project? I’d like to participate. You can contact me via here or at CynthiaBaileyRug@aol.com
