I decided to try something new.. podcasts. The idea popped into my head recently, even though I know nothing of podcasts. It felt like God was leading me in a new direction, so I decided to give it a try.
To get started, I’ve decided to use the audio from my YouTubes. Yes, it’s a repeat of information having it on podcasts, YouTube & in this blog, but not everyone learns the same way. Some are visual learners & love YouTube. Some learn best from reading & others prefer learning audibly. I doubt many people will benefit from all three formats, so by doing them, it enables more people to (hopefully!!) learn from my work.
If you’d like to check them out, here is the link:

I only have a few out there at the moment, but I’ll add more as time goes on. I was hoping to get all of them done asap, but yanno something? I can’t get them done quickly. Not with my mental health. So, I hope you’ll be understanding & patient with me taking my time in adding more podcasts.
Cynthia, thank you so much for this and all you do. I’ve just listened to “How Childhood Trauma Affects Adults.” Every word speaks to my heart and it is so incredibly important and healing to have the kind of support you give survivors to get through each day.
On my summer reading stack is the book “Love, Medicine, And Miracles” by Dr. Bernie Siegel. He says, in the chapter titled “Becoming Exceptional,” “Love of other people always is a sustaining factor. IN a sense, however, living for (italics) is a “gimmick,” a stopgap measure like surgery or chemotherapy, which can buy time until people learn to live authentically for themselves.”
He goes on to say, “We all know that one of our basic needs is someone in whom to confide, and recent research is proving that confession is good for the body as well as the soul.”
In a profound way sharing our brokenness is confession, having the courage to express and confess the pain we were shamed into accepting that the abuser tried to make us believe we deserved as children when our souls were being beaten out of our bodies, when our life was robbed from us by the narcissist(s) in our life to whom only one life mattered: THEIRS.
God bless you, Dear Cynthia. Though I have never met you, I love you, I really do. Sometimes during the day, when it’s time for tea in the afternoon, I say aloud, I wish I could invite Cynthia here for a visit. You make technology a true blessing!
Much love to you this day and always, and to all who find their way here to be blessed with the healing you’ve worked so hard to bring to us in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Oopps, correction:
” IN a sense, however, living for (italics) is a “gimmick,” a stopgap measure like surgery or chemotherapy, which can buy time until people learn to live authentically for themselves.””
SHOULD READ:
“In a sense, however, living for* others is a “‘gimmick,” a stopgap measure like surgery or chemotherapy, which can buy time until people learn to live authentically for themselves.”
*for is actually in italics in the original text. Apologies, I don’t know how to do that in this format!

Thank you so very much Anne.. .you made my day much better! You are very kind! ❤
What Dr. Siegle said made sense. It's so true, as is your comment about it being a confession.
Thank you again for brightening my day with your kind words! It is too bad we couldn't have tea together! That sounds just lovely!
Sending you love & blessings!
